Born in Miaoli, he studied sculpture with Lee Chin-Chun from 1953 to 1955.  In 1956 he worked in Buddha shop in Keelong.  He recommend himself to Yang Ying-Feng to study modern sculpture.  Local subjects such as “The Cow” and “The Shepherd Boy” were most popular among his early sculptures.  Since 70’s, the “Taichi Series,” “Movement Series,” “Living World Series” has had the important influence internationally.  The work “Single whip” is collected by The Hakone Museum of Japan.  In 1981, he visited New York. It was the turning point that helped him to widen international vision.  In 1999, Ju Ming established The Ju Ming Museum in Chin-Shan, and the Museum was awarded the prize of Tokyo Creation Award.
