Hsieh Hsiao-Te was offered a teaching job in Department of Fine art at National Taiwan Normal University after graduating from there.  
He lived in France during 1973-1974, doing research at Ecole du Louvre and went to New York to study contemporary art the next year.  His name was listed on U.K’s World Who in the 80s.  Hsieh specializes in sketching, oil painting, watercolor, inlay painting and sculpture, his works had been awarded for several times by the TaiYang Art Exhibition, and even in the National Art Exhibition he won the first prize.  He represented Taiwan to participate in the Biennales in San Paulo and other international exhibitions in Milan, Italy, Spain.  He had won the National Prize in an exhibition in France, too.  He put emphasis on giving sense of times to his works in addition to skills and had the society at that time reflected in his creation; therefore, depiction which combines stories and delicate thoughts can be found while seeing his works.
