HONG RUI-LIN洪瑞麟

Born in Taipei, Hung was influenced by his father who was also an artist.  He studied in Taiwan Institute of Painting under Kinichiro Ishikawa and Ni Jiang-Huai.  Chen Chih-Chi encouraged him to go to Japan.  He had studied painting in Kawabata Drawing Institute, Opening Sketch Drawing Institute, and Imperial School of Fine Arts (now the Musashino Art University).  He worked as a miner after his graduation.  Since then, he lived with collier and continually recorded their lives.  In these paintings, it seemed that humanity is his deepest concern.  Hung had traveled to Europe, America, and Japan and then moved to U.S.A. later on.
