DENNIS HWANG黃志超
CHINESE-AMERICANb.1941
Born in 1941 in Fujian, China, and then immigrated to Taiwan.  Huang was invited by the U.S Department of State in 1971 to hold the cultural and art exhibition, and then he stayed in New York up till now.  Huang combines Chinese philosophy and Western paintings techniques, with a more abstract, surrealistic style, using free lines and strong infused colors on the Chinese rice paper and Canvas to express Chinese traditional painting along with wild and bold colors like Fauvism, putting the artist’s own created symbols mixed and hidden with Chinese pictograph and landscapes, conducting the signature symbols and personal unique style, often praised as the “Eastern Matisse.”
