Pan Chaur-Sen was born in Hsinchu, Taiwan in 1938.  Inspired by Mr. Hsiao Ru-Sung in high school time, and attended in Taipei Normal College, Art Department in 1955.  Pan has been awarded first prize, the Tai Yang Art Exhibition, Tai Yang Mining Industry Prize, Educational prize, first prize in Provincial Teacher Art Exhibition, and third prize in Provincial Art Exhibition, “Jin-Jue Prize” from Chinese Painting Academy in 1975.  Elected as a member of council in Chinese Oil Painting Association.  In 1969, he represented Taiwan to the Brazil St. Paul Biennial International Exhibition, Cannes International Art Fair in France.  In 1972, he participated in 8th Chinese-Japanese International Exhibition in Japan and Asia Art Exhibition in Korea and works were collected by the embassy.  In 1991, he invited for presentation at “Salon des artistes Français.”  A short time loss of sight in childhood results in timidity and frailness of Pan’s personality.  As artist himself, Pan’s works express a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere, just like a kingdom located on wonderland.  Gloomy females with closing eyes and no mouse is the character of Pan’s painting.
